The family and friends of Ersilia announce the formation of the Orange Rose Foundation; a 501(c)3 charity focusing on supporting organizations that assist victims of domestic violence. Orange Rose, Ersilia’s favorite flower, signifies Ersilia’s beauty, strength, passion, excitement, and love for her family and friends.
To operate for the purpose of working towards the ending of domestic violence, by encouraging awareness of domestic violence, advocating for laws intended to help victims of domestic violence, and supporting programs that are aiding those who have suffered or are suffering from domestic violence.
To remove the stigma associated with domestic violence and to one day see a time when all victims feel empowered to seek help and end living in fear.
The Everett Kiwanis Club has donated $11,000 to assist the development of this foundation. The directors and members of the foundation are humbled and appreciative of this generosity which allows them to begin assisting these victims immediately. Read the entire article in the Everett Advocate!

Portal to Hope have use the funds to create a Stabilization Program in Ersilia’'s name. This program has provided emergency support to anyone who needs to leave their current situation and is in need of shelter, food, etc. The Orange Rose Foundation will continue to contribute to the Portal To Hope Stabilization Program to assist in ensuring support for victims of domestic violence.
