Running For The Rose
Gloucester High School Junior, Michael Francis III, was honored by the Orange Rose Foundation for raising over $4,000 for the foundation by running the Maple Leaf Marathon and obtaining donations for his efforts.
Michael set a goal to raise funds for the foundation that his aunt, uncle, and family developed in 2021; and he decided that training for and running a marathon would be an ideal way for him to help. The Orange Rose Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charity focusing on supporting organizations that assist victims of domestic violence and working towards encouraging awareness.
Michael is an outstanding student, athlete, and member of the community. The Orange Rose Foundation recently presented Michael with the Outstanding Citizen Award. The foundation thanks him for his support and all the great work he does in the community. They wish him luck in his senior year at Gloucester High School and continued success in all his future endeavors.
