The Orange Rose Foundation was developed after we lost someone close to us 5 years ago. On December 19, 2018, Ersilia was taken away from her children and her family way too soon and it was due to domestic violence. Her passing has been extremely difficult not only for her family but for the entire community. We wanted to continue her mission to help those in need and give back to the community. We hope to continue to do that through supporting organizations and raising awareness of domestic violence.
Looking back on 2023 of what we accomplished...
February 2023
In February 2023, Eagle Bank helped raise money for the Orange Rose Foundation to help victims of domestic violence.
March 2023
In March 2023, our vice president Anthony Cataldo ran the Tokyo marathon and completed his 5th world major marathon!
May 2023
In May 2023, members of the Orange Rose Foundation sponsored and participated in MAAV’s Melrose run for women.
June 2023
In June 2023, Members of the foundation sponsored and participated in the Walk for HAWC.

Also, the Orange Rose Foundation sponsored and competed in the Frank Mastrocola bocce tournament for the Ersilia Cup at the Methuen Sons of Italy.

In September 2023, the Orange Rose Foundation was proud to present a check to Portal to Hope, in support of their hard work done towards helping victims and raising awareness of domestic violence. The work done by Portal to Hope provides a variety of programs and services that help survivors heal and recover from situations of domestic abuse.
October was a busy month!
In October 2023, The Orange Rose Foundation joined together with the City of Everett to celebrate the life of Ersilia Cataldo and to raise awareness of domestic violence at the 5th annual 5K Walk For Ersilia. In October 2023, The Orange Rose Foundation joined together with the City of Everett to celebrate the life of Ersilia Cataldo and to raise awareness of domestic violence at the 5th annual 5K Walk For Ersilia. This event continues to be a huge success! We were honored to have State Senator Sal DiDomenico and State Representative- Joseph McGonagle with us. We would like to thank all those involved in preparations for this event, all of our sponsors, and especially all of you for making a difference! The walk was started as a way to continue Ersilia’s volunteerism and her giving back to the community. The funds raised throughout the years have been donated to several organizations fighting the Domestic Violence epidemic. Ersilia loved when everyone was all together, She always had a smile on her face, she loved helping people and she loved making a difference. In her memory, we can continue to make a difference!

Lastly, The Orange Rose Foundation sponsored and participated in MAAV's Annual Walk and Candlelight Vigil for domestic violence.
November 2023
In November 2023, Our ORF president Erminia Amy Buscaino, Vice president Anthony Cataldo, and member Josephine Cerasuolo completed the B.A.A. Half Marathon! They completed the Distance Medley running a 5K, 10K, and half marathon! ORF President Erminia Buscaino stated, “We can do hard things when running in memory of someone you love and miss and raising awareness.”
